MouldGel.com is run by Tyson Gaylord. It exists because the answer to "how do I get black mould out of my shower sealant" is buried under a thousand pages recommending sprays that physically cannot do the job, and because the products that do work are mostly the same chemical sold at very different prices with very different amounts of honesty on the label.

How we evaluate products

We compare published ingredient lists and safety data sheets, applicator design, dwell-time requirements, price per quantity, and verified owner feedback across retail platforms. We favour products with transparent labelling, and we say plainly when a product is rebranded commodity chemistry at a premium price and what, if anything, that premium actually buys.

We don't accept payment for placement or rankings, and rankings don't change based on commission rates. Where we haven't physically tested a product ourselves, we don't pretend otherwise: our conclusions come from documentation and aggregated owner experience, and we tell you when a claim is the manufacturer's rather than ours.

What we will always tell you

• When a cheap product does the same job as an expensive one.
• When no product will do the job, and the fix is sealant replacement, ventilation or a tradesperson.
• When a product category's marketing is decoration on identical chemistry.
